Le attivita’Apostoliche della Provincia ‘Immacolata Concezione’
Nella Provincia dell’Immacolata Concezione abbiamo Quattro Comunita’ delle quali due sono a New York e le altre due a New Jersey. Siamo poche in numero, ma tutte aperte alla preghiera e alla condivisione fraterna, nonostante l’età.
La Casa Provincialesta a Monroe, NY e viene chiamata la ‘Power House’ (Casa Motore) che sostiene tutte le nostre attivita’.
Le nostre Suore in questa casa accolgono tutte le richieste di preghiere che vengono da persone, dalle Associazioni, dai Studenti Universitari ecc.
Siccome questa casa ha un’aula grande, organizziamo diversi programmi tipo l’incontro dell’UAC, BibleStudy (Studio della Bibbia) due volte all’anno per un periodo di 7 settimane ; e giornate di preghiera . Oltre la partecipazione, questi diventano momentidi una forte spiritualità per i nostri laici, i collaboratori e tutti ipartecipanti.
Ancora, abbiamo l’adorazione comunitaria per le vocazioni, una volta alla settimana in ogni comunità e in più,una, ogni mercoledì mattina proprio per pregare per le vocazioni e per rafforzare le nostre attività.
L’attività principale della Provincia viene fatta dalle “PallottineTeenageFederation” (Gruppo Giovanile Pallottino) formata dai giovani di varie forone.
Per svolgere i loro programmi, abbiamo messo a disposizione un Centro a posta che sta vicino alla Casa Provinciale.Qui vengono organizzati i ritiri e Leadership Programs. Oltre gli animatori anche giovani più grandi diventano formatori di questi programmi. Alcune volte fanno turni in cucina ed altri servizi utili alla comunità. Anche questi servizi diventano parte della formazione. Ogni anno,in un week-end di Dicembre si organizza ‘La Conferenza GiovanilePallottina’ nella quale partecipano quasi 250 giovani. Le giornate della Conferenza sono molto intense e vengono guidate da loro stessi. Ogni anno c’è un ‘Key note Speaker’ e un ‘Rapper’ che spiegano il tema nel linguaggio giovanile odierno.
Un gruppo dei nostri giovani insieme agli Animatori partecipano, ogni anno, nella Marcia per la Vita che si organizza a Washington dove 800,000 i giovani da tutti gli Stati Uniti partecipano.
Un’altra iniziativa bella dei nostri giovani è l’Adorazione Notturna mensile in una Parrocchia dove questi giovani si ritrovano insieme . Hanno i momenti di divertimento e cena e dopo di che abbiamo l’Adorazione Comunitaria che è seguita dai turni di adorazione fino alla mattina.
Studiando i segni dei tempi, abbiamo abbracciato un altro bisogno sociale cioèquello di camminare accanto ai più poveri. Sono gli immigrati spagnoli che stanno nelle parrocchie vicine che hanno tanto bisogno del nostro aiuto e vicinanza. Tanti di loro sono senza documenti. Sr. Michele li aiuta nella procedura per averli . Oltre a partecipare nelle loro liturgie e preghiere nelle loro case per diverse occasioni, lavoriamo con le più giovani. Questo gruppo viene chiamato “Junior CatholicDaughters of Americas”. Sarebbe il gruppo giovanile dell’Associazione che si chiama “CatholicDaughters of Americas”. Noi collaboriamo con loro e le aiutiamo spiritualmente e sono i benefattori per le nostre missioni. Sr. Michele è la loro guida spirituale.Ogni mese, abbiamo tre incontri. Due ne facciamo con tutto il gruppo senza la differenza di età. Invece terzo lo facciamo solo con le grandinella quale abbiamo l’adorazione, condivisione su un tema e la pizza.
Andiamo a prenderle dalle loro case perché non hanno la macchina e dopo l’incontro le riportiamo a casa. Per questo, ci aiutano alcuni membri dell’UAC con le loro macchine. Il numero totale delle ragazze sarebbe un 27.
Il Signore sta aprendo un’altra porta per espandere il nostro Carisma cioé il Parroco della Parrocchia di Pine Bush, NY ha chiesto aSr. Shinty di assumere la responsabilità nell’ambito Catechetico come Direttrice dell’Educazione Religiosa. Questo ci permette di lavorare da vicino con i bambini, i giovani e gli adulti . I giovani di questa Parrocchia sono già inseriti nel nostro Centro Giovanile.
Nella nostra communità di N J ci sono tre suore .Due lavorano nella Scuola dei Padri Pallottinimentre l’altra lavora nella Segreteria della Parrocchia della Madonna delle Grazie sempre dei Pallottini. Tutte tre sono coinvolte in tutte le attività della Parrocchia : con gli adulti, i giovani, i bambini e in più insegnamoil catechismo . Ogni primo sabato del mese,vanno nelle case per pregare il S. Rosario insieme alle altre persone. Ogni settimana, nella comunità hanno l’Adorazione Eucaristica che é aperta a tutti nella quale alcune persone partecipano.

Ogni sabato, due di loro assistono un ragazzo disabile di 13 anni della parrocchia che ha grande bisogno d’aiuto. Così permettono alla mamma di uscire a fare la spesa o altre cose. Vannospesso avisitare gli ammalati e portano la comunione insieme ad un Sacerdote Pallottino.

In tutto, cerchiamosempre ad attualizzare il Carisma Pallottino secondo i segni, itempi,e ibisogni della gente con cui viviamo e della Chiesa Locale. Siamo certi che lo Spirito é sempre in opera in mezzo a noi. Non ci fa mancare mai la Sua luce.
Ringraziamo il Padre, il Figlio e lo Spirito Santo che ci fanno camminare e lavorare insieme, sempre per la loro Gloria e per il bene di questi nostri fratelli e sorelle.

Apostolic Activity of the Immaculate Conception Province, USA
In Immaculate Conception Province, we have four communities – two of which are in New York and the other two in New Jersey.We are few in number. The Provincial House is in Monroe, New York and it is called the “Power House” (Casa Motore) which supports all our activities. Our Sisters in this house gather all the prayer requests that come from persons, from Associations, from university students, etc. Since this house has a large assembly room, we organize a variety of programs, such as the UAC meetings, Bible Study twice a year for a period of seven weeks, and days of prayer.Besides participation, these events become moments of strong spirituality for our laity, collaborators and all participants.In addition, we have community adoration for vocations once a week in each community and in addition, one on every Wednesday morning to pray for vocations and to strengthen our activities.
The principal apostolic activity of the Province is done by the “Pallottine Teenage Federation” (A Pallottine Youth Group) formed by youth of various parishes. To conduct their programs, we have the Vincent Pallotti Center located near the Provincial Motherhouse. Here they organize retreats and leadership programs. In addition to the adult leaders, the older ones in this youth group become formation leaders in this program. They also take turns in the kitchen. Even these opportunities for service become a part of their formation. Each year, in a weekend in December, they organize “The Pallottine Youth Conference” in which almost 250 youth participate. The days of the Conference are very intense and are guided by them. Each year there is a Keynote Speaker and a Rapper who explain the theme in the ordinary language of youth.
A group of these young people together with the Leaders participate each year in the March for Life which is organized in Washington, DC where 800,000 youth of the entire United States participate.
Another beautiful initiative of our youth is the monthly Nocturnal Adoration in a parish where they are located. They have a time for recreation and supper after which they have community adoration that is followed by individual turns of adoration until morning.
By studying the signs of the times, we have embraced another social need, that of walking with the more needy among the poor. They are the Hispanic immigrants who are in the nearby parishes who are in great need of our assistance and presence. Many of them are undocumented. Sr. Michele helps them to enter the process. In addition to participating in their liturgies and in prayer in their homes on various occasions, we work with the younger members. And we have formed a group called “Junior Catholic Daughters of Americas” which is part of the Association named “Catholic Daughters of Americas.”Sr. Michele is their Spiritual Advisor. We collaborate with them and help them spiritually and they are also our benefactors for our mission.Every month, we have three meetings. Two of them are with the entire group without distinction of age.Instead, in the third meeting, we meet with only the older ones in which we have adoration, sharing on a theme and pizza.We pick them up at their homes because they do not have cars and after the meeting we take them home. In this particular work, we have the assistance of some members of the UAC with their automobiles. The total number of young girls is about 27.
The Lord is opening another door to expand our Charism, that is the pastor of the Pine Bush Parish in New York has asked Sr.Shinty to take on the responsibility in the area of Catechetical work as Director of Religious Education. This allows us to work closely with children, youth and adults. The youth of this parish are already a part of the youth group.
In the New Jersey Convent of St. Vincent Pallotti, we have three sisters. Two of them work in the school of the Pallottine Fathers while the third works in the secretarial office of the Parish of Our Lady of Grace, the Pallottine parish. All three are involved in all the activities of the parish: with adults, youth, children and with teaching catechism. Every first Saturday of the month, they go to the homes to pray the rosary with others. Each week, in the community, they have Eucharistic adoration which is open to those who wish to participate.

Every Saturday, two of them – of the St. Vincent Pallotti Community – visit a disabled child of 13 years old within the parish.He is in great need of assistance. Thus they allow the mother to go out to do shopping and other things. They often go to visit the sick and bring them communion together with a Pallottine priest.

In all, we always try to put into practice the Pallottine Charism according to the signs, the times and the needs of the people with whom we live in the local church. We are certain that the Spirit is always at work in our midst. He never allows us to be without his light. We thank the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit who make us walk and work together, always for their Glory and for the good of our brothers and sisters.
